
Commissioned by Te Mātāwai and in partnership with BERL, Tokona te Raki set out to identify and map data sources to better understand how te reo Māori is used in Te Waipounamu, and to find opportunities to further integrate it. This report aligns with the goals of Te Whare o te Reo Mauriora (the partnership between the Crown, iwi, and Māori) by helping build a clearer picture of the current state of te reo, and offering insights into where further action is needed to support its revitalisation.
